Netscape is becoming a more classic news portal and "social Netscape" will be moved to a new Domain Name called Propeller.com.

This was already announced last week but yesterday the Netscape team reported about the new name and logo on their blogpost "Social News Update":

"We promised you in our last communication about the Netscape.com site that we would get right back to you about where your current social news site will live after we redirect to the new Netscape portal. The Netscape social news experience that you are currently using today will be migrated and revealed soon at propeller.com."

The funny, or better said stupid thing is, that propeller.com is not online yet. it does not even have a little index file or at least a holding page up at Propeller. Definately a mistake. It looks as if Netscape continues making the same mistakes theiy did with the Netscape Community, which was easy to cheat. Maybe they just do not have time to make things better:

"We're working hard behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition before we officially launch at this new destination."
